Peter Oncken (1964)
Managing Partner & CEO
Peter Oncken is a founding partner and the Chief Executive of INTRO Aviation
as well as Member of the Executive Board of the INTRO Group and is leading most
of INTRO Aviations ventures in airline restructuring and consulting personally.
Professionally qualified with a Law Degree from University of Cologne, Germany,
he has many years of experience in the airline industry reorganizing and restructuring
financially distressed airlines. The focus of each venture was to reposition
these airlines successfully in the market.
From February 2006 to August 2007 Peter headed the INTRO team for the
traditional German Airline LTU International, Germany’s Nº 3 airline, which was
fully acquired by the INTRO Group in 2006 and stepped in as CEO of the airline.
With quick and decisive measures INTRO’s team restructured and repositioned this
highly loss making airline and managed to achieve break even with 12 months of
operation. LTU was successfully sold to rival Air Berlin in 2007.
From 2005 to 2006 Peter was Member of the Board of dba which was acquired
from British Airways by the INTRO Group in 2003. INTRO managed the stabilization
of this airline, oversaw the financial restructuring and brought the airline
back to profitability within 15 months of operation, the first time in 12 years.
Over the years Peter saw through diverse consulting ventures from start-ups
to consulting in areas as IT-system optimization, streamlining sales and operational
structures.
Prior to joining the INTRO Group Peter has developed extensive experience
in restructuring and repositioning distressed companies.
Peter is married and lives with his wife and three children in Nuremberg,
Germany.
